Echoes Among The Stars

Echoes Among the Stars offers players a contemplative, intergalactic 2D-platformer blending classic elements of the hero's journey with existential reflection. Players guide the last surviving protector of the world tree, the ent warrior Veldorin, across several planetary landscapes. Having defeated the evil cult Imitatores Deus Otiosus (ITO), Veldorin must now return the World Heart to the World Tree, reflecting on purpose, identity, and what they should do now that their great quest has concluded.

Players control Veldorin through fast-paced, responsive and fluid platforming mechanics, utilizing jumping, dashing, and grappling thanks to Veldorin’s tree-like physiology to navigate intricate environments. Unique planetary settings introduce gravity shifts and diverse environmental dynamics, requiring players to adapt their movement strategies continuously. Combat is strategic and timing-focused, emphasizing precision rather than sheer force, with boss encounters designed to interact with the story narrative and planet-specific mechanics. Exploration is richly rewarding, with environments teeming with lore, secrets, and narrative elements that deepen the player's connection to Veldorin's contemplative journey across planetary biomes, ranging from lush forests and crystalline caves to abandoned ruins and ethereal space ports.
